Engaged: Jeremy and Courtney

8.03.2009 | 0 Comments

Wow! I did not know how to narrow down an event that was so personally exciting for me to have been a part of capturing. My brother Jeremy is engaged to his girlfriend of over five years, and let me tell you, Jeremy proposed in grand fashion. The entourage of family and friends that came out to witness (secretly hidden out of sight) and celebrate Courtney saying “yes” was amazing! As a side note, the number of high-end dSLRs was astonishing to me as well. I think Nikon, Canon, and Fuji were all represented and the combination of lenses gave many unique perspectives to help Jeremy and Courtney remember such a fun day!

Jeremy completely surprised Courtney, who thought that she was meeting friends for lunch on the Harbor. Courtney had absolutely no idea that Jeremy was even in town. Jeremy put in a lot of legwork to bring family and friends from across the country to help ensure that this day was a memorable one! Here are a handful of my favorite images from my point-of-view, I’ve got more posted on facebook and I gave even more to Courtney and Jeremy for them to enjoy, post, and tag themeselves :) .

Summer and Taylor

7.02.2009 | 1 Comment

Summer and Taylor are some of our favorite people to hang out with here in Amarillo. Summer is in KB’s medical school class through Texas Tech and Taylor works full-time for a local college ministry. While our normal weekend dates include dinner and game night or movies, they were gracious enough to let me drag them to an old abandoned house and then to another abandoned train station.

I had a great time getting to photograph them! Got some neat pictures before the wonderful sunset light got swiftly swallowed up by some major clouds on the horizon. While I would have loved to have had more time photographing Summer and Taylor, we did have a lot of fun and ended on a high note as KB literally danced with ants in her pants for a grand finale to the evening. The last image captures the laughter we all shared at KB’s dance :) . Hope you enjoy the pictures!
